Everyday you are getting a little bit older in both body and mind and it is really vital to take care of yourself as you go through life's journey. If you look at the statistics now, people are easily out living their ancestors sometimes by 20 or more years. It would seem that many people have secret anti aging knowledge but that's really not the case. Anti aging is not a new concept nor is the things you need to do to fight against aging. While many people will argue and tell you that you need to eliminate all of these kinds of things from your life, in our opinion that is a little excessive. Throwing away your cell phone will not add 10 years to your life and neither will avoiding to wear jewelry. The more important things that will add time to your life is your daily activities.

It is suggested that males get about 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of vegetables while women need 1 ½ cups of fruit and about 2 cups of vegetables. And a good rule of thumb is small portion of protein typically the size of your fist. Now while there are ways to live way longer by cutting out specific foods, there are a couple things to think of before you take that step. The first thing to think of is that everyone's body is different so no "real" answer is going to apply to everyone. And the second thing is that happiness can lead to a longer and fuller life and if cutting out certain foods to gain maybe a year or is not worth it, then do not do it.

Exercise should be apart of everyone's daily regimen as it builds a healthy heart and mind. You should get close to 30 mins of exercise everyday if possible. This can be broken up into little spurts if needed. It will accomplish the same thing. If able, you should also try to mix up your routine and incorporate weight training, cardio, and stretching. Taking care of your body will ultimately make you stick around longer.

Your daily activities can play a big role in how long you live. Typical everyday activities as drinking, smoking, or lack of sleep can and will hurt your body. It is important that if you smoke that you should consider quitting. It is a risk proven to contribute to various cancers and heart diseases. Alcohol contributes just as well and they both can add to weight gain. Lack of sleep deprives your body of it's rest and your organs can not be at 100% without it. In other words, by lack of sleep you are prematurely wearing out your body.

Many other factors take a part in anti aging as well. Day to day stress can cause physical and emotional damage which in turn shortens your life. It is important to evaluate your self daily and see where you can eventually make improvements. And I do mean "eventually." Sudden changes in your habits can cause stress on your body as well. Everything should be done gradually.

Overall, it is not possible to dictate what will cause you to live much longer than someone else. Science has yet to create the immortal person but there is things you can to fight against aging. Using some of our tips above should help and at the very least spark your curiosity to dig a little bit deeper. Simply put, if you take care of your body, it will take care of you.
