My friends and I talk about sex all the time. I don’t get why these are questions you wouldn’t ask your friends.

A lot of these are what I like to call “friend questions.” In other words, if you ask enough of these questions of your friends, you’ll wind up being better friends with them. And if you ask enough of these “friend questions” of an acquaintance, you’ll eventually wind up becoming friends.

And honestly, I think a lot of these really are cool questions to ask people. I’m not sure what the various haters and complainers think would be better questions to ask people, but I’d suggest that if they want to complain, then they should try to actually add something to the “cool questions to ask people” discussion by giving some examples of what THEY would think would be useful.

Heck, if enough people added their ideas in the comments, then this could turn into a “1000 questions to ask” thread. I can think of lots of ways to expand this post. For example, you could include questions to ask at a party. You could include email questions to ask friends. My favorites are the “have you ever” questions, for sure.

Far, far too many questions about pop culture. I am one of those people who does still read books- and who has not watched television in over 20 years! Most of these were pretty flip questions, rather than ones to really make you think.

For all of those who say “these aren’t questions you ask your friends” or “why would you ask favorite sex positions”. Please crawl out of the hole you’re living in. My friends and I talk about this sort of stuff all the time, and they talk about this sort of stuff with their other friends, their wives talk about this stuff with their friends as well. Maybe you should get off the computer once in awhile and talk to your friends, they might surprise you. If someone doesn’t want to be your friend because you asked them a simple or silly question, perhaps they were never really a friend in the first place.

I thought they questions were very good. I’ve been trying to come up with get to know you questions for a party with my friends. We had the party using these questions and a few others and it went GREAT. The cool part is that these ARE some questions asked in real life. Maybe not all at once, but they’re still asked.

Sometimes it’s in the form of a question they’ve typed into a search engine, and sometimes it’s in the form of an email that someone has written us. Do you have some questions you’d like answered? I don’t recognize your name from any of the email questions we’ve received…
