everything is wrong. nothing is right at all with this post. this might have been right in the late 80′s but not in 2011. just throwing this out there that copper is in the mid $3 range steel is about 10 to 12 cents a pound alum. is in the 80 cents to $1 range.

Buyers in the Colorado Springs, Colorado, area are paying 9-11 cents per pound for scrap iron – several times as much as you note in this post.

Alot of your prices are wrong for the new york area, we get more than what you said for most things, ex. Car batteries going for 8 dollars at this day, and i never recieved less than 6.
